With our daughters’ birthdays being only a couple of weeks apart the only logical thing to do was a double celebration! Admittedly there was a slight twang of guilt (oh hey, mumguilt!) for Thora having to share her very first birthday with her sister, but I decided not to worry about that and instead make sure she had a great time! Which I think she did.
We lucked out massively with the weather as it turned out to be the hottest day of the year! A perfect day for some hotdogs on the BBQ, a few cold beers and wines, and of course lots of fun in the garden. We didn’t have that many guests and only a few children. It was such a perfect day and all the kids enjoyed themselves so much, jumping on the trampoline and playing with their new toys.
I still cannot quite believe I have a three year old and a one year old now! So all in all, it was a very successful, low-key and memorable birthday party for our two daughters, we couldn’t have wished for more and most importantly I think they had a great time.
